2- The London underground.

The London underground is also called the Tube (metrô). It’s the oldest underground system in the world.
Many people use it every day to get to work or school.
There are 11 lines and over 270 stations. Each line has a different colour on the map.
The trains can get very busy during rush hour (horário de pico). You need an Oyster card (cartão Oyster / cartão eletrônico de transporte) or contactless (pagamento por aproximação) to travel.
Announcements (os avisos) say, “Mind the gap (cuidado com o vão)” at every station.
Some stations are very deep and have long escalators (escadas rolantes) .
It’s a quick and easy way to travel around London.
