- We use possessive adjectives + noun (my money / your book etc.).
- We use possessive pronouns without a noun. (It’s mine, It’s ours etc.)

Possessive Adjectives can be used with the adjective own.
Possessive Pronouns + of > a friend of mine / a friend of his / some friends of yours etc

- I’m going to wash my hands.
- David lives with his parents.
- I saw Laura with her husband.
- The rabbit is in its cage.
- Do you like your job?
- She doesn’t know your wife.
- I like football. It’s my favourite sport.
- Brazil is famous for its beaches, music and football.
- Is that your book?
- This isn’t their car.
- We like our English teacher.
- I found my pen… but where’s its cap?

- Is this book mine or yours?
- It’s their problem, not ours.
- Is this his camera or hers?
- This is a nice hat. Is it yours?
- That’s not my umbrella. Mine is black
- Their apartment is near ours.
- My father is tall. His is short.
- Our car is new. Theirs is old.
- I talked to a friend of mine.
- They went on holiday with some friends of theirs.
- Whose car is this? It’s mine.

- We like our English teacher. She is nice and she doesn’t give us too much homework.
- The bird is in its cage.
- Is this your house?
- His mobile phone is ringing.
