  • We use possessive adjectives + noun (my money / your book etc.).
  • We use possessive pronouns without a noun. (It’s mine, It’s ours etc.)

Possessive Adjectives can be used with the adjective own.
Possessive Pronouns + of > a friend of mine / a friend of his / some friends of yours etc

  6. She doesn’t know your wife.

  12. I found my pen… but where’s its cap?
  1. Is this book mine or yours?
  2. It’s their problem, not ours.
  3. Is this his camera or hers?
  4. This is a nice hat. Is it yours?
  5. That’s not my umbrella. Mine is black
  6. Their apartment is near ours.
  7. My father is tall. His is short.
  8. Our car is new. Theirs is old.
  9. I talked to a friend of mine.
  10. They went on holiday with some friends of theirs.
  11. Whose car is this? It’s mine.
  1. We like our English teacher. She is nice and she doesn’t give us too much homework.
  2. The bird is in its cage.
  3. Is this your house?
